Apply to become a Confirmation Peer Leader!!

For post-Confirmation Youth - you can apply to be a peer leader for the next Confirmation Class. The peer leaders are in integral part of the program. Therefore, it is important to discern if you have the time to devote to helping the next class of Confirmandi through the preparation program. If selected, you will be expected to attend training in late August 2025, monthly class sessions beginning in September, the Retreat (November 15, 2025), the Confirmation Mass and the Mystigogia session after the Confirmation Mass.

You must be able to commit to the following:

Training August 26th

All class sessions (9/9, 10/14, 11/11, 12/9, 1/13, 2/10, 3/10, 4/14)

Saturday, November 15th- Parish Sponsored Retreat at St. John Neumann Parish in Powhatan

Confirmation Mass – scheduled by the Diocese between Ash Wednesday and Pentecost

Mystigogia – May 12

Monthly Confirmation sessions will be held the SECOND TUESDAY of each month (September -April) from 6:00 – 8:30 pm, the Retreat will be from 9:00 am - 7:00 pm on Saturday, November 15th. Because we have so few sessions with the Confirmandi it is imperative that the peer leaders be present and prepared for each class session. Please write a paragraph or two telling where you have seen God present in your life. This would be the basis of your personal testimony which you would give during the Confirmation Retreat. You do not need to have experienced something bad to see God working in your life. If you are chosen as a peer leader, you will be given additional information on how to craft your testimony.
