Saint Gabriel is Growing and Building Together! Join us!
The parish is working on a site plan with civil engineers to understand the impacts to the wetlands around us. You may have seen the markings around the church property. The site plan will go to Chesterfield County for review and approvals to move forward with permitting, which will then allow us to start construction.
As part of the engineering study, the Civil Engineers have identified some impacts to the wetlands as well as storm water management issues on our current property. This has an impact on the original project milestone dates, causing the dates to be pushed back by 6 months. This means that the anticipated groundbreaking and construction company mobilization has been moved to January of 2027. Chesterfield County permits can take time because of due diligence to make sure things are done right and done safely.
While we want this new Building Addition now, we cannot overlook safety... safety of our people and the safety of the environment. We hope and pray that things go smoothly moving forward. Let’s be positive and continue with redemption and hopefully we will begin the next phase of construction early next year.

All envelope givers receive monthly "capital campaign" envelopes in their monthly packets. We have envelopes on the "thermometer" board in the commons, or you can do it electronically.
