Parents take part in faith formation sessions in preparation for the baptism of their infants or toddlers. It is recommended this preparation begin at least six months before child is to be baptized. The sessions aim at helping parents center themselves and their home life in faith. They also familiarize parents with the symbols and rituals of baptism to help deepen their experience of the baptism liturgy. This formation includes attending two baptism preparation sessions.
