GIFTS, Growing In Faith Together Spiritually, will begin this fall. We will meet on Thursday evenings, beginning September 22 and continuing through June 8 for study, prayer, and fellowship. All St. Gabriel’s women and friends are invited to experience the power of God in GIFTS! Please join us and share your GIFTS! GIFTS is a Faith Enhanced group formed to provide a forum for studying spiritual truths, developing our faith and forming friendships. GIFTS welcomes women of all ages from the Christian community who want to grow in their relationships with God and each other. |
The year 2005 was named the “Year of the Eucharist”. ▪ The Bread that nurtures our Spirit: Prayer ▪ The Staple that feeds our minds: Scripture ▪ The Bread that satisfies the hunger of the Body of Christ: Service Each evening, we will dig into, digest, and discuss a subject with the help of a speaker, followed by small group discussion. Whether you prefer to just listen, or to share your processing with others, we will welcome your presence. We will not only indulge in refreshments for the body (The snacks are great!!), but, also, refreshments for the heart (What support!). We open the gathering with prayers of petition and close with gratitude. |
“Why participate in a women’s group?” you ask. Those who have come together to take part in GIFTS have expressed appreciation for the insights they have gained about their church and their faith. Members of GIFTS have enjoyed each other’s company, and have gone away energized and encouraged. These women have experienced this truth: the bread of faith we give to others by living Christian values at home and at work not only feeds others, but it also feeds our own spirits and helps us grow in our love of God, ourselves, and our neighbor. Come to be nurtured and to be strengthened to serve . |
